About Us

As owner and founder of Perfectly Planned Events, Chicago-area event planner Mindy Loughead organizes creative, memorable events of all types and scales.  Perfectly Planned Events specializes in not for profit meeting and event planning, including galas, retreats, grand openings, and leadership events. The transition from health care management to event planning came naturally as Mindy attended numerous events and meetings in the health care field and not for profit sectors. She became interested in putting on memorable, successful events, regardless of budget, that solidified the meeting objective in the mind of the attendee. After formal education in event planning, Perfectly Planned Events was launched. With an extensive background in management and healthcare, Mindy draws from that leadership experience to produce events that thrill her clients.

Clients know they can trust Mindy to handle the thousands of details required to execute a flawless event. From idea conception to event experience, Perfectly Planned Events provides integration and coordination of event elements to produce exceptional events.

Mindy holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in the same field from Wright State University. She is a former certified nurse executive and has been a nursing leadership healthcare consultant. She has completed extensive coursework in Meeting and Event Planning through College of DuPage. She is a long time member of ILEA, the International Live Events Association, and active in the Chicago Chapter.  In the community, Mindy has served on the Almost Home Kids (formerly CoACH Care Center) Board of Directors, serving as the Secretary of the board and chair of the Resource Development Committee. She is an auto racing enthusiast and lives with her husband and children in Darien, Illinois.
